Pecan Nut and BAR-ONE Tart



    • BAR-ONE Spread
      45 g
    • sweet pastry tart base, blind baked
      1 x 20 cm
    • pecan nuts, roughly chopped
      500 ml
    • butter
      50 g
    • dark chocolate, finely chopped
      45 g
    • golden syrup
      170 g
    • eggs


    1. Place the chopped pecan nuts into the tart case and set aside
    2. Melt the butter, sugar, chocolate and BAR-ONE Spread over a low heat
    3. Remove from the heat and add the syrup and eggs
    4. Pour the mixture over the pecan nuts till it is just covered
    5. In a preheated oven at 180°C bake the tart till firm, about 30-35 minutes
    6. Portion and serve with vanilla ice cream and poached pears
